We enjoyed staying in this cozy apartment close to downtown Palatine. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. Private parking was a plus. Communication from the hosts was outstanding, before and during our stay. They were very responsive and helpful.

We stayed at Ben's place for 5 days right before Christmas. The location was perfect for our needs... close to family, friends and downtown Palatine. The house was very clean and well-maintained and just as described. From the moment you walked into his old fashioned kitchen motif, you knew it was going to be awesome. It reminded me of walking into my grandparent's home. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with essentials. Communicating with Ben was extremely easy via email, with his reply being almost instantaneous. The temperature in the apartment was a little too warm for us, and Ben was able to adjust it. We even used the laundry facilities, which was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway Apartment and Ben was a perfect host. We would stay there again. Too bad it was December, as we would have loved to have used the outside deck and enjoyed a cocktail! Thanks Ben.

Very cozy and comfortable place, extremely clean and well taken care of. The location is great and convenient. Everything was exactly as described, and the place made us feel at home. I would totally recommend this Airbnb and would definitely stay here again.

I was pleased from the moment I walked in! I was looking for a place to hide away for a couple of days, and the 'Hideaway Apartment' truly delivered. The space is quaint, well-decorated with a fun retro feel, while not so subtly reminding you how close you are to one of the best cities in America. The kitchen was well-equipped with a microwave, stove, and coffee pot, and it comfortably accommodated a kitchen table for dining. I felt incredibly secure and safe both in the apartment and the surrounding area. It was also a huge plus to have a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The most impressive part was how fully stocked the cabinets were, with coffee, cream, syrup, spices, and more! Not one thing I picked up was expired or even close to it, which conveys how much the hosts care about details. They are also very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. I'm beyond grateful for my time here at the Hideaway and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Ben and Shatrel’s home was so lovely and I would highly recommend anyone considering a trip to Chicago/Illinois to stay here! The apartment was absolutely beautiful, exactly as described, and incredibly easy to access/park at. It has a perfect walking distance from the train station and downtown area, which has many restaurants and shops. Both hosts were responsive, helpful, and friendly with any and all questions we had at all times. This Airbnb is truly a gem! Thank you again Ben and Shatrel!
