I was pleased from the moment I walked in! I was looking for a place to hide away for a couple of days, and the 'Hideaway Apartment' truly delivered. The space is quaint, well-decorated with a fun retro feel, while not so subtly reminding you how close you are to one of the best cities in America. The kitchen was well-equipped with a microwave, stove, and coffee pot, and it comfortably accommodated a kitchen table for dining. I felt incredibly secure and safe both in the apartment and the surrounding area. It was also a huge plus to have a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The most impressive part was how fully stocked the cabinets were, with coffee, cream, syrup, spices, and more! Not one thing I picked up was expired or even close to it, which conveys how much the hosts care about details. They are also very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. I'm beyond grateful for my time here at the Hideaway and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Ben and Shatrel’s home was so lovely and I would highly recommend anyone considering a trip to Chicago/Illinois to stay here! The apartment was absolutely beautiful, exactly as described, and incredibly easy to access/park at. It has a perfect walking distance from the train station and downtown area, which has many restaurants and shops. Both hosts were responsive, helpful, and friendly with any and all questions we had at all times. This Airbnb is truly a gem! Thank you again Ben and Shatrel!

This place was exactly as advertised! The host maintained open and helpful communication throughout our stay. Conveniently, there are plenty of local bars and restaurants just down the street, and the train station is close by, making it easy to head into Chicago if needed.

Came to Chicago to celebrate my anniversary with my SO and this location was amazing! It's really central to a lot of the busy and most popular suburbs in the area. It also was right off of the Metra line and not far from the Blue Line to get into downtown. I highly recommend this listing and staying in this area if you want to enjoy the city but also have somewhere peaceful to come back to. I will be staying here again!

We felt right at home here. Everything was just as described - comfortable, clean, cozy, and walkable to everything you could need. Ben was extremely accommodating and responsive. We loved our stay and hope to be back!
